Air pollution

One of the ideas in the first meeting of the project was to work on “Air pollution” as a topic concerning sustainability. We decided to collect air pollution data and not to present it classicaly using LibreOffice Calc (open source software) or Microsoft Excel (propietary software). The problem of these software are they are very limited to some types of graphs and some type of statistical analysis.

In order to teach our students new ways to present graphs so we decided to learn and to use a more powerful and innovative tool: R programming language to analyse data scientifically and statistically in a professional way. We also decided to work using Javascript to connect to data servers and to present weather and pollution data online and in real time. You can find some of the results obtained in this project under this tab.
